Our Story

A Legacy of Print. A Future in Technology.

Pakistan Post Foundation (Press Division) was commissioned in 1990 and began operations as a small unit. Today it is one of the most versatile printing establishments in the country, operating from three major cities: Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. Every unit is equipped with the latest printing and graphic-art equipment, and from pre-press to post-press every process is delicately fulfilled in-house.

Since the early 1990s the Press Division has grown into a powerful symbol of Pakistan's experience and expertise in security and general printing, and a leading exporter of high value-added printing products.

Our Mandate

A Charitable Trust with a National Purpose

Pakistan Post Foundation (PPF) is a charitable trust established under the Charitable Endowments Act, 1890, and duly notified in the Official Gazette of Pakistan dated 1st December 1990. Its affairs are administered by a Board of Governors comprising serving civil servants, with the Director General, Pakistan Post Office Department, an Attached Department of the Ministry of Communications, serving as its Chairman.

PPF operates the PPF Press Division, an ISO-certified high-security printing facility providing secure printing services to Government Departments, Public Sector and Semi-Government Organizations. The PPF Press has an established institutional arrangement for the secure printing of Pakistan Post forms and stationery.

Furthermore, the Election Commission of Pakistan has notified the PPF Press, along with the National Security Printing Company (NSPC) and Printing Corporation of Pakistan (PCP), as authorized presses for printing sensitive election documents, including ballot papers for General and Local Government Elections.

Scale & Capability

Built for High-Volume, High-Security Work

Since the early 1990s, Pakistan Post Foundation (Press Division) has been the country's leading general printer and one of its only dedicated security-printing firms. The scale of our operation speaks for itself: every month we purchase and convert roughly 260 metric tons of paper, about 150 tons imported and 110 tons sourced locally.

In a typical year we execute at least fifteen major contracts, each valued between Rs 15 and 60 million, alongside several hundred smaller jobs. Together these exceeded a total turnover of Rs 362 million in the year ending June 2012, and span more than a thousand distinct general and security printed stationery items.

Our technical strength lies not only in experienced staff, but in foresight and planning. With the latest Letter Press, Offset, Screen, Flexo and Digital print systems spread across three cities and networked into a single workflow environment, the Press Division is equipped to undertake work of virtually any scale and sensitivity.
